Day 1:ILALA LODGE HOTEL, VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE).

Day Itinerary.

You are met and transferred from Victoria Falls Airport to Ilala Lodge t; it’s about 23km and takes 30 minutes.

Optional  1530hrs late afternoon, we set out on the Zambezi River for a relaxing and beautiful sunset cruise. Enjoy your favourite beverage while keeping an eye out for hippos, elephants, crocodiles and abundant bird life on Ra-Ikane Boat

Ra-Ikane Sunset Cruise.

There simply is not a better way to enjoy the dazzling African sunset than from the comfort of a Ra-Ikane boat on a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Our ever-popular sunset cruise offers a unique way to explore the channels of the river and to get an up-close view of the pristine wilderness and African game along its banks. Enjoy an array of canapés, a full bar and a charming crew who can impart a bit of interesting Victoria Falls history with you on board the Ra-Ikane.

Day 2:ILALA LODGE HOTEL, VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE).

Day Itinerary.

Soon after breakfast you explore the falls up close and on foot. Feel the thunder, be touched by the mist and enjoy endless great views as you walk the path hovering up close to the falls.

Optional after the falls tour, you take to the sky for a bird’s eye view over magnificent Victoria Falls. The aerial view is unforgettable and is the only viewpoint where you can visually take in all of Victoria Falls.

A view of the Victoria Falls is something you will never forget and the best way to see them is on a guided tour. Discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. These tours are extremely informative and end with a visit to the local art and crafts centre.

To put the Victoria Falls into true perspective, they must really be seen from the air. The sheer size and grandeur of the spectacle becomes all the more clearer from above. The huge Zambezi River flowing slowly south as the water spreads across the full width of a great rent in the earth before crashing over the lip in a burst of spray and then squeezing into a narrow, foaming, blast of water rushing down the zigzag funnel of the gorges.

Day 3:CHOBE SAFARI LODGE, KASANE.

Kasane.

Tucked away in the north-eastern corner of Botswana, on the banks of the famous Chobe River, the scenic little town of Kasane rests on the doorstep of the spectacular Chobe National Park. There are no boundaries fences separating the village from the park and game such as elephant and hippo are often spotted roaming around the town. If on the lookout for elusive game, pay a visit to the Sedudu Valley Road, where large dead trees provide temporary homes for leopards. Within Kasane, an ancient baobab tree stands on display, once serving as a local prison. Visitors can look forward to a multitude of activities including: enjoying a game drive through the park, taking a sunset cruise down the Chobe River, visiting a local village or jumping on a day trip to the breath-taking Victoria Falls.

Day Itinerary.

Soon after breakfast we depart from Victoria Falls Hotel to Kasane Botswana upon arrival we check in, Lunch is served. Late afternoon we enjoy a boat cruise on the Chobe River watching out for the hippos and crocodiles as well as the elephants, giraffes and impala that come to the water’s edge to drink.

Chobe Boat Cruise.

The Chobe Boat Cruise is a wonderful way to experience the Chobe National Park. Puku and lechwe antelopes are common on the Chobe Floodplains and herds of elephants can be seen crossing the Chobe River to the islands. Other common sites are hippos and crocodiles basking in the sun. There are a variety of boating options for the Chobe boat cruises. Guests can join a standard cruise on a river cruiser taking about 30-40 people or have the opportunity to take a smaller boat and focus on photography and birding. The bigger boats have bars on board for drinks and soft drinks. All Chobe boat cruises depart from Kasane, the town which borders onto the Chobe national park. There are regular afternoon and morning departures.

Day 4:CHOBE SAFARI LODGE, KASANE.

Day Itinerary.

Today we will enjoy a morning game drive in the park in search of elephants, giraffe, sable and Cape buffalo as well as the many other species found here. We will be able to access the small tracks and quiet areas in the park allowing us excellent game viewing possibilities. Late afternoon we will return to the Chobe River for a delightful boat cruise. The river’s edge offers a lush refuge for wildlife including birds and hippos. Dinner and Overnight at Chobe Safari Lodge.
