Tour Plan

DAY 1: BRONTE GARDEN HOTEL, HARARE

Upon arrival at the Robert Mugabe International Airport, you will be picked for a road transfer to Bronte Hotel for your 1-night stay.

Later in the afternoon, you will go for a Harare City Tour. Explore the vibrant capital city of Zimbabwe, the city that never sleeps. You will feel spellbound with the charming atmosphere in the streets which you can feel all year around!

Overnight: Bronte Garden Hotel   

The Bronte Hotel is an oasis of tranquillity, renowned for its beautiful gardens and collection of fine Shona Sculptures. DAY 2: MANA RIVER CAMP, MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK

Soon after breakfast, you will get on a road transfer to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport for an onward charter flight to Mana Pools for your 3 nights stay at Mana River Camp on Fully Inclusive basis.

Later in the afternoon, you will go for bird watching in the camp.  Mana Pools is a true paradise for birdwatchers, with more than 350 species of birds happily perching there.

Overnight: Mana River Camp     

Mana River Camp is positioned on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River nestled between this enormous perennial river and a much-visited water pan, particularly enjoyed by elephants for mud bathing. Shade in the camp is provided by riverine forest predominately Trichilia Emetica and the fabled Faidherbia Albida (apple ring or Anna Tree)

The beauty of this camp is that it is a mobile tented camp known as a TEC – Temporary Extended Camp. The whole camp is taken down at the end of each season before the wet season begins. This gives the feeling of the old, real bush, camping experience. The camp is unfenced, and many different animals may be viewed from the camp, whilst enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. Common visitors into camp are elephants.

DAY 3: MANA RIVER CAMP, MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK

In the morning, soon after breakfast you will go for a morning game drive in Mana Pools National Park. Mana Pools National Park offers rich and spectacular wildlife viewing.

Later in the afternoon, you will go for walking safari in Mana Pools National Park. With the park’s sparse vegetation allowing for good visibility and relatively relaxed wildlife, you can expect close encounters with species such as elephant, wild dog and even lion, something rarely encountered anywhere else in Africa.

DAY 4: MANA RIVER CAMP, MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK

On this day, you will go for an early morning canoeing tour. Floating down the river, between Mana Pools and Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park, the wilderness surrounds you really is one of the ‘classic’ African safari experiences.

In the afternoon, you will go for a Game Drive.  A game drive through Mana Pools National Park is a gift to the senses. This expansive wildlife conservation area in the north of Zimbabwe is one of Africa’s most renowned game-viewing regions countless species roaming the area.

DAY 5: DETEEMA SPRINGS CAMP, WESTERN HWANGE NATIONAL PARK

On this day, you will depart from Mana Pools from Mana Pools Airstrip to Deteema Springs Camp for your 3 nights stay on Fully Inclusive basis.

Upon arrival at Robins Airstrip, you will check in at Deteema Springs Camp and have a relaxing afternoon whilst you enjoy the camp.

Overnight: Deteema Springs Camp

Deteema Springs Camp was opened in 2019, after the founders of Machaba Safaris saw an opportunity to create an intimate safari camp, in an incredible wildlife area, on a site which is hard to describe.

Deteema Springs Camp is located near the Deteema dam in north-western Hwange National Park. This area is famous for its large concentrations of animals, including elephant. Due to the existence of year-round water seeps, this area is ideal for walking and game drives, producing incredible wildlife sightings. Guests have the opportunity to travel on foot or in game vehicles to view this amazing area and also to view from the camp, Africa in its wildest form.

Deteema Springs is a tented camp with 8 luxury tents, 7 luxury double/twin tents and 1 luxury family tent. Children above 6 years of age are accepted.

DAY 8: ILALA LODGE HOTEL, VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)

Pick up for a road transfer to Victoria Falls, for your 2 Nights stay at Ilala Lodge Hotel

Late afternoon you will be picked up for a Sunset Cruise along the Might Zambezi River. Clients may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile, and elephant as well as enjoy the many different bird species.

DAY 9: ILALA LODGE HOTEL, VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)

Soon after breakfast, you explore the falls up close and on foot. Feel the thunder, be touched by the mist and enjoy endless great views as you walk the path hovering up close to the falls with an experienced guide.

In the early afternoon, soon after tour of the falls, you will be transferred to Lookout Cafe for you lunch where you have the spectacular views of the Batoka Gorge, Vic Falls Bridge and Spray of the Falls.

In the evening, you have dinner at the Boma. The Boma is a legendary dining and entertainment experience that offers an unforgettable fusion of mouth-watering local cuisine, energetic dance performances, interactive drumming, and traditional storytelling. The four-course meal includes a delicious platter of starters, soup from the campfire, a braai (barbecue) buffet, followed by a selection of desserts. DAY 10: NGOMA SAFARI LODGE, CHOBE RIVER FRONT

Mid-morning, soon after breakfast, you will be picked for a road transfer to Chobe for your 2 nights stay at Ngoma Safari Lodge.

In the afternoon, you will go for a Chobe Boat Cruise.

Located in the Chobe Forest Reserve just 3km from the Chobe National Park (a region renowned for its outstanding wildlife, in particular the famous Chobe Elephants, and home to more than 75 mammal and 450 bird species), Ngoma Safari Lodge commands awe-inspiring views over the Chobe River and floodplains.

The lodge’s central area includes a well-appointed sitting room, dining room and bar area as well as a plunge pool.  Each private river-facing suite offers quiet refuge, and is one of only eight luxuriously styled and spacious lodges, each complete with bath, indoor and outdoor showers and a private outdoor living area with a “refresh and relax pool”.

DAY 12: MACHABA CAMP, KHWAI CONSERVANCY

Road transfer to Kasane airport for a charter flight to Machaba Camp, for your 2 nights stay at the camp.

Afternoon game drive in the Khwai Conservancy.

Situated in the game rich Khwai area on the eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta, lies the sophisticated Machaba Camp. The setting is exquisite and guests will fall in love with the understated elegant colonial architeture of Machaba. Wake up to the sounds of hippo wallowing in the Delta and enjoy outdoor dining on the banks of the Khwai.

Ten luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers are located between tall riverine trees. Each of the tents have views of the Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve. From these tented verandas one can watch the daily parade of animals coming down to drink at the river in front of camp. Machaba, despite its obvious luxury is still an affordable camp.

DAY 14: KIRI CAMP, OKAVANGO DELTA

Pick up for a charter transfer from Kasane Airport to Khwai Airstrip for your 2 nights at Kiri Camp.

Soon after arrival, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive.

Overnight: Kiri Camp

Kiri Camp is named after the Kiri channel which flows passed the island on which the camp is situated. The camp is raised on wooden decks to give one a view of the mighty Kiri floodplains which stretch out in front of the camp. The luxury tents are designed to incorporate the surrounding ebony forest under which the camp is situated. The use of wood, canvas and reeds are primary to the architecture of this stunning camp.

Kiri Camp offers a combination of both game drives and water activities. Based on a private concession, these activities will take you to some of the more remote areas in the delta, previously inaccessible. A motorboat ride during peak flood times promises to enthrall you and captivate you, with the chance of seeing iconic wildlife from the river. Glide on quiet mokoro’s through the water lilies and view wildlife from below as you sail along at water level height. The wildlife in the Kiri area is diverse and plentiful, renowned for its lion and buffalo interactions and rare wild dog numbers.
