Early morning breakfast and check-out. Depart for the Tanzania’s famous, Serengeti National Park via Oldupai Gorge where hominid footprints believed to be 3.6million years old were found. We will enjoy an on-site talk on the interpretation of the gorge by the resident guide. Proceed to central Serengeti Serengeti arriving at your lodge for lunch.
Over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size. Today, most visitors come here with one aim alone - to witness millions of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and eland on a mass trek to quench their thirst for water and to eat fresh grass. During this great cyclical movement, these ungulates move around the ecosystem in a seasonal pattern.
High tea at 15h30 will link up with the afternoon game drive. Dinner at the camp can be outside under a canopy of Southern Hemisphere stars with pre-dinner cocktails and nibbles around the campfire to chat and discuss the days’ sightings.
