Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. It is set on the magnificent Zambezi River which creates the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Tour Plan

DAY 1: ILALA LODGE HOTEL, VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE).

Day Itinerary.

Upon arrival you will be transferred to Ilala Lodge for your check in. Late afternoon you will be picked up for Sundowner Cruise   along the Might Zambezi River and in the evening you will enjoy the dinner at the hotel Restaurant

DAY 2: ILALA LODGE HOTEL, VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE).

Day Itinerary

Soon after breakfast, you explore the falls up close and on foot. Feel the thunder, be touched by the mist and enjoy endless great views as you walk the path hovering up close to the falls with an experienced guide. Soon after tour of the falls, you will have lunch at the Lookout Cafe  where you have the spectacular views of the Batoka Gorge, Vic Falls Bridge and Spray of the Falls In the evening, you may have dinner at the Jungle Junction; Dining at Jungle Junction offers an unforgettable experience, gazing over the gorge and the spray of the Falls, with a fusion of flavours of Africa.

DAY 3: IVORY LODGE, EASTERN HWANGE NATIONAL PARK.

Eastern Hwange National Park

Located in western Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park (formerly Wankie Game Reserve) is the largest natural reserve in the country and is famous for its rich diversity of wildlife. Home to one of the biggest elephant populations in the world, as well as around 100 mammal species, the park is a wonderland for animal lovers.

Several protected animals inhabit the awe-inspiring open landscapes, including the endangered wild dog, critically endangered black rhino, and rare roan and sable - along with lion, cheetah, and around 500 bird species. Adventurers can look forward to guided bush hikes, game drives, and horse riding safaris, all of which offer excellent photographic opportunities. Hwange boasts several unique natural features, most notably the natural seeps such as Nehimba and Shakwanki animals dig for water.

Day Itinerary:

Soon after breakfast you will be transferred to Ivory Lodge located in the Hwange National Park, upon arrival you will have lunch and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge

Game drives

Morning, afternoon & full day game drives can be arranged on the concession and into the National Park. An abundance of game species can be spotted within the concession and National Park including Elephant, Lion, Giraffe, Cheetah, Zebra, Sable, Wild Dog, Leopard and much more! Within the concession, evening game drives can be arranged with a sunset stopover for sundowners and your choice of beverage. Returning to the lodge by spotlight to find those elusive night animals & arriving back in camp in time to freshen up for dinner.

DAY 4: IVORY LODGE, EASTERN HWANGE NATIONAL PARK.

Day Itinerary

Today we enjoy 2 games drives to explore the superb wildlife in the park. We set out very early morning and late afternoon as these are the best times for wildlife viewing as the animals are most active during the cooler times and often rest during the heat of midday. Packed lunch will be served at a picnic site in the bush.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Morning, afternoon & full day game drives can be arranged on the concession and into the National Park. An abundance of game species can be spotted within the concession and National Park including Elephant, Lion, Giraffe, Cheetah, Zebra, Sable, Wild Dog, Leopard and much more! Within the concession, evening game drives can be arranged with a sunset stopover for sundowners and your choice of beverage. Returning to the lodge by spotlight to find those elusive night animals & arriving back in camp in time to freshen up for dinner.

Walking Safari

After a fireside coffee and delicious muffins, journey into the bush on foot with your professional guide on a walking safari. Enjoy the early crisp mornings as you discover the wonders of the African bush and witness its wildlife come to life. Starting time is first light. Walking Safaris are carried out on our private concession of 6000 acres and are weather dependent. Walking Safaris only available upon request during reservation.

DAY 5: CAMP AMALINDA, MATOBO NATIONAL PARK.

Matobo National Park

Idyllically located in the spectacular Matobo Hills, the renowned Matobo National Park is known for its rich human history, its remarkably diverse flora and fauna and its magnificent rugged terrain. This unspoiled natural wilderness features a range of massive red-tinged, granite boulders interspersed with gorgeous wooded valleys making it a dream destination for hikers, climbers and nature lovers alike.

The reserve is compact, easily accessible and is home to an impressive range of African wildlife including the highly endangered black and white rhinoceros, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, cheetah, hippo, warthog and crocodile as well as Africa's largest concentration of leopard and black eagles. This unforgettable national park serves as an ideal stopover for travellers heading to the popular tourist sites of Hwange and the majestic Victoria Falls.

Day Itinerary:

Today we depart Hwange National Park for Matopo Hills Lodge arrival and check in  Lunch at Lodge and relax  Dinner and overnight at the Lodge

Overnight: Camp Amalinda

Camp Amalinda, situated amongst the granite domes and castle kopjes of the Matobo Hills in Zimbabwe, offers visitors some of the most spectacular rock sceneries in the world. Amalinda consists of nine individually thatched rooms including a trio of suites, all of which are set into imposing boulders. These three suites have recently been refurbished - The Lobengula Suite, The Rhodes Suite and The San Suite - are each steeped in African historical artifacts of a bygone era.

Tucked away into an ancient bushman’s shelter, Camp Amalinda’s charm will leave an indelible impression on every visitor. Some of the most breathtaking granite scenery in the world is found in the Matobo Hills. It is here that the hopes, trials and tribulations of the San Bushmen are recorded in the ancient rock art that guests can explore. Activities include rhino tracking, historic excursions, and bicycle tours.

DAY 6: CAMP AMALINDA, MATOBO NATIONAL PARK.

Day Itinerary

Soon after breakfast, you do the Matopo Tour, Matopo park is 423 square kilometers and has approximately 3,000 San (bushman) art paintings, some more than 15,000 years old. Today's excitement starts with a morning hike to see some of these impressive, ancient San paintings, We later visit the grave of Cecil John Rhodes. Zimbabwe, known as Rhodesia up until 1979, was named after Rhodes. In the afternoon, we enjoy a game drive and search on foot for resident black and white rhinos with your knowledgeable Professional guide.

DAY 7:GREAT ZIMBABWE HOTEL, MASVINGO.

Masvingo.

Situated in southeastern Zimbabwe, the capital of Masvingo Province, Masvingo town was formerly known as Fort Victoria. It is located in close proximity to the Unesco-listed Great Zimbabwe National Monument, the ruins of an ancient city of mysterious origins that dates back thousands of years and shows evidence of an advanced civilisation. Masvingo serves as an excellent base from which to explore the attractions in the surrounding region including Lake Mutirikwi Recreational Park, the Kyle Dam and the Kyle National Reserve, home to abundant wildlife. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the nearby Mushandike National Park, known for its natural landscapes.

Day Itinerary.

We depart for the greatest medieval city in sub-Saharan Africa. The Great Zimbabwe ruins (UNESCO) are impressive, built over hundreds of years between the 11th and 14th centuries. The site is massive, covering almost 1800 acres, and includes some incredible architectural details in the staircases, interlocking walls, granite boulders and mortar-less walls.

The site also includes a small museum with houses, artifacts, displays of building techniques and a history of the site. The modern state takes its present name, Zimbabwe, from this national monument. The beautiful setting also has resident impala and eland. We will have lunch at the lodge, late afternoon we do tour of the ruins. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Overnight: Great Zimbabwe Hotel .

Set 2-kilometres away from The Great Zimbabwe Monuments, the Great Zimbabwe Hotel is 30km away from Masvingo Airport and 35km away from Lake Mtirikwi. Guest rooms and suites are each fitted with a TV, a telephone, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar. Guests can enjoy numerous outdoor activities including guided tours of the Great Zimbabwe Monument, boating, fishing, sunset cruises and game viewing at Kyle Game Park.

DAY 8: MEIKLES HOTEL, HARARE.

Harare

Zimbabwe’s capital city is the country’s most cosmopolitan and contemporary destination, dotted with restaurants and bars, shops and markets. Its proud historical and cultural heritage is reflected in several well-preserved old buildings and informative museums, while its many parks and gardens provide a pleasant contrast to the bustling urban sectors. Located within easy reach of the city centre are the Mukuvisi Woodlands, comprising over 250 hectares of natural wilderness, while The Kopje – a rocky hill to the southwest of Harare – offers great views over the city. Other city highlights include: the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences, the Chapungu Sculpture Park, and the National Botanic Garden.

Day Itinerary

This morning we depart for Harare, upon arrival we will have a city tour then go to check in at our hotel. Stop over for lunch at quick lunch in town. Late afternoon we rest and relax at the hotel, dinner and overnight in Harare.
